Halloween!!
One of my favorite holidays is Halloween. Some people like Christmas, Thanksgiving or 4th of July but for me...it's Halloween. Last year at this time we threw a house-warming costume party. This year, we'll be out-of-costume in South Bend celebrating Julia and TJ's wedding. (According to the bride - this is certainly NOT a costume party!) With busy weekends ahead, I wanted to make sure pumpkin carving was not forgotten this year.

We carved up two very nice pumpkins last weekend. The insides were reserved for pumpkins seeds that I roasting in the oven. They have been sitting on the counter this week - untouched. Good use of time...

This year ins
tead of the typical scary face I suggested he use a drill. Man you should have seen his face light up. Really? A drill to carve pumpkins?

As the picture prove, he used some type of drill bit to make dozens of holes in his pumpkin.

Mine took a bit more strategic planning and research. I carefully carved nooks and crannies to produce a huge diamond ring. Very appropriate timing, indeed.

Here is our final product!
