From late January until now, the wedding planning has been on a temporary hiatus. There really wasn't too much to plan or book. The timing couldn't have worked out better because January through mid April is our EXTREMELY busy time in the world of Higher Education Publishing.

In April, we sweep the corners in attempts to find smaller courses that need our instructional materials. By mid-April 90% of course decisions for fall have been made. And - if you plan your territory appropriately, this lends to a very smooth, nearly stress-free summer.

If you were an avid blog reader last summer, you'll recall how quickly our summer booked up with weddings, showers, and vacations. Not to be undone by last summer - 2010 will be just as fun. Here is a little glimpse into our April & May.

  • Deanne's Bachelorette party in Lake Geneva
  • Brewer's Opening Day
  • Randy's big 3-1
  • Alyssa turns 4 years old
  • Baby Shower for Baby Hopkins
  • Trip to Philadelphia for Derek & Olivia's First Communion. I can't believe they are 8!
  • For the first time, I'm joining on a Rockwell Audit trip just outside Amsterdam. After the audit is complete, Randy and I are traveling to Prague!
  • Randy's Mom and my Mom share May 7th as their birthdays
  • Deanne and John tie the knot
  • Sarah and Ian say 'I do'! (Sorry to say we're missing this celebration!)
Woah - and that's just the plan for April and May. I can imagine June and July will be very similar. Happy almost summer!
