1. Room Block
Hotel Employee 1: "I'm sorry Mrs. Hartman, the room block is filled for that wedding."

Kathy: "No, the room block isn't filled yet. Please check again."
Hotel Employee 1: "Mrs. Hartman, when invites go out, it's customary that room blocks are snatched up very quickly. I'm sure you understand."
Kathy: " I understand that. However, the invites haven't gone out because the wedding is in December. Please transfer me to someone else who can look up the room block for me."
Meantime - Kathy texts me letting me know no more rooms are available. I panic and text back confirming rooms are open until 11/4. Five minutes pass...
Another Hotel Employee: "Oh, here we go...I have found the room block. Sorry, that woman is new to the hotel."

Deep sigh of relief from this B2B.

2. Invites
Our invite lady went on maternity bed rest and called with the sad news that she can not take us on as a client. Not to fear, by planning ahead I have allotted time for such instances. We are looking into alternatives this week.

The hotel room is common, tell people always to ask for someone else to check, or call back later.

Invitations are so much more of a headache than I ever imagined!

Glad to know I am not the only one with slight road blocks!!
