Impromptu Snow Day in Muskego!
As with much of Midwest, Milwaukee was blanketed by snow this week. Unlike past snowfalls which pours eight inches worth of snow in a 90 minute span, this snowfall, as predicated, provided a steady stream of light fluffy powder lasting a full two days.
Based on the local NBC affiliate TMJ4's over-reaction to anything resembling news, the entire metro Milwaukee area panicked and consequently disabled itself on Tuesday. It's only Wednesday and I'm confident my week peaked yesterday. Because of the snow, Randy 'worked from home' and I opted to postpone my scheduled visit to Madison. Between emails and phone calls, we finished up our hardwood floor project by replacing the baseboards. Our afternoon was spent hanging out around the house until we took a much needed drive to Brookfield Square. Yes, we were the only fools who went to a mall during a Winter Snow Warning. Parking was a breeze! In addition to new shoes for Randy, I was gifted my valentines day present a couple days early - a brand new purse. :)
The day concluded by meeting Anne Marie for dinner at Bunkers in Stallica. Overall, a very fun and impromptu day. Some people say they are sick of the snow and are ready for spring. I guess some days I agee...just not yesterday!

February 10, 2010 at 9:41 PMIt's actually posts like this that make me miss the snow. Yes, the 50's + for winter have been nice, but I miss that fluffy white stuff. Will be back at it next year hopefully, and by February 2011 I may think differently, but for now, I just admire the snow.
