I was reminded this morning that we have only 10 months to go. It feels very abstract at this point - like a vacation you're going to eventually take. But as more things come together, the more real it seems. My aunts have graciously offered to host a bridal shower for us in September. In additional to feeling extremely honored with their gestures, I was also taken off guard to learn people have our wedding (which you'll recall is 10 months away) on their radar, too! Very exciting!

According to my month to-do list, this month we are to choose and book our photographer and DJ. My mom and I attended the Milwaukee Bridal Show two weekends ago. Again, this also surprised me! It wasn't nearly as daunting / overwhelming as I thought. We were able to chat (and immediately disqualify) potential DJs and photographers. Who knew a trade show would be that helpful? Those who knew my previous marketing positions will find the irony in that statement.
